Home Networking & WiFi Installation in Orange County

Wall-to-wall and perimeter WiFi coverage on a hardwired backbone — the layer every other smart system depends on, engineered properly so nothing else in your house has an excuse to fail.

Almost every "my smart home doesn't work" call traces back to the network. Streams that buffer in the back bedroom. Cameras that go offline at night. A thermostat that stops responding. The devices are usually fine — the network under them was never designed, just plugged in.

The router your ISP handed you was built to a price, placed wherever the cable entered the house, and asked to cover three thousand square feet through stucco, lath, and steel. Adding a mesh node that talks back over the same congested WiFi doesn't fix that; it splits an already thin signal.

We do it the other way around. Access points get placed by coverage survey and hardwired back to a central switch, so every one has full backhaul. The result is no dead zones — not in the back bedroom, not on the patio, not in the pool — and a foundation solid enough to carry automation, cameras, and 4K streaming at once.

Why it's worth doing right

What a properly engineered system gets you

Surveyed, not guessed

Access point placement comes from an actual coverage survey of your walls and materials, not a box that claims a square-footage rating.

Hardwired backhaul

Every access point runs back to the switch on Ethernet, so no bandwidth is wasted on nodes relaying to each other.

Coverage outdoors too

Patio, pool, driveway, and casita. Outdoor-rated access points mean the yard isn't a dead zone.

Segmented for security

Guests, cameras, and automation on separate VLANs. A compromised smart device can't reach your laptop or your NAS.

Seamless roaming

Walk the house on a video call without it dropping as you cross from one access point to the next.

Remotely monitored

We can see a problem developing and often fix it before you've noticed anything is wrong.

How we work

From first walkthrough to a system you actually use

High-ticket work goes wrong when nobody explains what happens next. Here is exactly how a project runs, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Consultation

We walk the property with you, listen to how you actually live in it, and look at what's already there. No pitch — we're establishing scope, constraints, and what's realistic.

  2. 02

    Design & proposal

You get a designed system with a written proposal: what goes where, what it does, what it costs. Theaters include a 3D model so you see the finished room before anything is built.

  3. 03

    Installation

We coordinate with your builder, electrician, and designer, and we work clean. Cable is run properly, racks are built to be serviced, and the site is left tidy every day.

  4. 04

    Programming & calibration

Scenes are built around your routine and tuned on site, after dark where it matters. Video is calibrated, audio is measured. This is the step that separates a system from a pile of equipment.

  5. 05

    Training & support

We sit down with the household and make sure everyone can drive it — not just whoever ordered it. Then we stay reachable, with remote monitoring on supported systems.

Questions

Networking and WiFi, answered

Straight answers to what people actually ask before starting a project like this.

Why not just buy a mesh system off the shelf?

Consumer mesh works acceptably in a small, open, single-story home. In a larger two-story house with stucco and steel-stud construction, wireless backhaul between nodes eats a large share of your available bandwidth and gets worse the more nodes you add. Hardwired access points don't have that ceiling.

Can you run network cable in a finished house?

Usually yes. Attics, crawlspaces, closet stacks, and existing chases give us paths in most Orange County homes. We walk it first and show you exactly where cable can run cleanly and where we'd suggest a wireless bridge instead of cutting into finished drywall.

Will this fix my streaming and video call problems?

If the cause is coverage, congestion, or a saturated channel, then yes — that's precisely what it addresses. If your actual ISP bandwidth is the constraint, we'll tell you that plainly and point you at the right plan rather than selling you hardware that won't help.

Do I need this before the rest of the automation?

It should come first, or at minimum at the same time. Cameras, streaming, control processors, and touchscreens all ride on the network. Building automation on top of a weak network is the single most common reason systems feel unreliable.

What about coverage in the pool and backyard?

Outdoor-rated access points handle it. We regularly cover patios, pool areas, casitas, and driveways so the signal doesn't stop at the back slider.

What clients say

“I had the pleasure of working with Ashkan on multiple AV installations in the past 10+ years. His team performed a complete update of the media room which includes a multi-screen projection home theater, music server, whole house audio, dedicated 2Ch HiFi system, as well as Crestron automation for AV, lighting & shades. The most recent project is a second HT AV system for the family room/kitchen remodel. It's a complex installation & we're very happy with the job. Ashkan is always professional, responsive & reliable with excellent after sales/installation supports. Highly recommended.”
